Boudh's leading industry Boudh distillery has sent ethanol to IOCL, Jharsuguda from its plant. By providing ethanol to IOCL for gasoline blending, the company has done positives for both Environmental and economic, making it the first in the state. It was sent after the flags being waived by Prem Kumar Kanojia, Chief Operating Officer of BDPL along with the presence of Unit head Sanjay Rathi, and Quality officer Sharat CS. BDPL on its first supply has sent 25 thousand litres of ethanol to IOCL. Initially, the company has operating capacity was 15,000 liters per day, but it is expected to increase from 40,000 to 60,000 liters per day.
Speaking on the occasion, COO Prem Kumar Kanojia said, "We are proud of being associated with revolutionary measures of government. The liquid fuel will reduce carbon emissions and reduce the cost of importing petrol, which will have a positive impact on the economy. Initiatives have been taken in order to check its effect upon the environment. An electrostatic Precipitator is set up in order to control air pollution.
