Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for analysis of Grain, Coal etc and all other related analysis for Distillation, Fermentation, Liquefaction, Milling, Evaporation, Dryer etc.
- Responsible for grain analysis (Foreign Material, Moisture, Starch and Protein Content) within prescribed time hours.
- Responsible to check flour sizes/starch content and if any issues, to inform the Milling Operator.
- Maintain records on a daily basis and send to Production Manager
- Responsible for Quality Control of ‘Slury & Liquefaction tank’ and suggest changes if any to the Liquefaction operator if any.
- Responsible for Quality Control of ‘Fermenter Plant’ and suggest changes if any to the Fermentation Operator, if any.
- Responsible for Quality Control of ‘Distillation Plant’ and suggest changes if any to the Distillation Operator, if any.
- Responsible for Quality Control of ‘Evaporation Plant’ and suggest changes if any to the Evaporator Operator, if any.
- Responsible for Quality Control of ‘Dryer’ and suggest changes if any to the Dryer’ Operator, if any.
- Responsible to conduct Coal analysis and Bed Material and submit report to the Power Plant Manager.
- Responsible to submit report to the PM every 24 hours on the Quality activity of the Plant.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- BSc. (Chemistry) / Degree in Chemical
- 3-5 yrs of Experience as a Lab Chemist in a distillery unit.
- Practical and technical experience with laboratory equipment and procedures.
- Knowledge of the malt and grain distillation process.
- Strong experience working in a quality assurance position within a laboratory, ideally within a distillery.
- Technical and practical understand of laboratory equipment and processes.
- Food safety techniques and due diligence requirements.
- Laboratory Information Management System knowledge.
